Hiking and bikingHiking and biking

Dubí is the gateway to the Ore Mountains, and as such, well-maintained and marked hiking trails can be found there as well as bike paths in a beautiful mountain setting. For Nordic walking enthusiasts, Dubí has prepared several routes in varying degrees of difficulty. These routes will take you to the most interesting places where you will familiarise yourself with all the treasures of Dubí's history. For tourists who would like to avoid a long climb to the ridge of the Ore Mountains, it is recommended to take the bus from Dubí to Cínovec, which is a main attraction in this part of the Ore Mountains. A long-distance cycle route, called the Ore Mountains thoroughway, runs through Cínovec and is suitable for all categories of cyclists. Both performance athletes and families with children will find appropriate stretches for themselves. Some of the paths will take you on a ride through the border regions of Germany. There is also the Mining Educational Trail in Cínovec, which will take you through the German mining towns nearby. Going southeast from Cínovec, you will reach Komáří hůrka lookout via the Eastern Ore Mountains nature park. The tower of this mountain hotel has been closed for a long time, but from its base, in good weather, you can still see the ridges of the Ore Mountains: Děčínský Sněžník, the Lusatian Mountains, Jizera Mountains, Giant Mountains, Ještěd, and of course, the Central Bohemian Uplands. There is a chairlift from the town of Krupka to the top of Komáří hůrka. Going southwest from Cínovec, you will get to the Fláje reservoir, which serves as a source of drinking water. Swimming and fishing are forbidden. You can make your journey from Dubí more picturesque by taking a train on the Moldava railway. Whichever stop you choose to get off, you will have many exciting marked hiking paths to choose from. From Mikulov, you can set out for the mountain lodge Vitiška and Pramenáč mountain or climb all the way to Bouřňák. In Moldava you can walk along an educational trail, which will introduce you to the history of glass production.
